Wie soll dein Setup aussehen? The panel is still either back-lit or edge-lit like traditional 4K TVs, and this can make a huge difference when it comes to black levels.
This makes them perfect for gaming. You'll hear a lot about the response time of a panel, especially when discussing gaming TVs.
This is basically the speed at which a color can change on your TV eg. Most 4K TVs have response times quicker than we can perceive them, so it makes no real difference to gameplay outside the twitchiest of shooters.
However, purists will want a TV with the quickest response time possible. This is the speed at which an image can be refreshed on your TV and shouldn't be confused with response time.
A 60Hz 4K TV, for example, refreshes the image on screen 60 times per second, which allows a certain level of smoothness to the image.
If the TV refreshes at Hz, the image is twice as smooth, and you notice that in how slick the motion appears on screen. Many TVs 'game modes' will boost refresh rate artificially, usually by downgrading other display features eg.
You need at least an HDMI 1. The majority of modern console games can't display at 4K 60fps, so as long as you have a 2. And no, you don't need to buy expensive gold-plated HDMI cables to get a better picture - just the Amazon Basics will do just fine.
I'm also a qualified landscape and garden designer so do that in my spare time, and lean on it to write about games' landscapes and environments too.

Image 1 of 7. Image 2 of 7. I'm not sure it got any HDR update. Regardless it'll work with Pro. I have a question.
I was looking at your TV's here and was specifically checking out the samsung tvs the ks The 55" is a bot much for me so if I were to downgrade to the 49 inch would I still get the same features?
Sorry Im a noob when it comes to this tv stuff. Im thinking of using my tax returns to get a ps4 pro and 4k tv. Its the same model and features are same.
Only screen size is different. Hey Thanks! Another question for you. Which would you recommend?
Is the Samsung KS a good choice? I dont want to spend more than max. Personally i recommend KS this year. Thank you.
This site has been incredibly helpful. I really hate how companies will call HDR etc different things. It makes it incredibly difficult to find the correct info Thank you again!
Even though, the panel is 10 bit,it has no wide color gamut support. I have an old Logitech sound system that I've been using with my Vizio tv.
I think you need an adapter. Which is best for ps4 Pro? The panel is superior. I found 49KS for the samsung but im not so sure.
I'm not sure if the features are same because regional models varies. Seem like uk equivalent Any big difference between the two? I want to take 49 inch ks but that size is mostly sold out here..
Ther's significant difference in everything including picture, gaming, input lag, HDR. KS is better and its worth its price.
I would not get as significant a discount as I will with the Sammy. I already have my PS4 Pro ordered as well I will be gaming so theres that too.
Get the 65" KS It's the better deal and better buy. That's an awesome deal you got! The main difference between KS and KS is the design.
Picture quality of both around the same. Between the ks and the ks is the price gap justified? I know the is full array, but raw picture quality does the slam the ?
I haven't checked the price lately. When viewed at daylight, the difference can't be seen. But in dark, the difference in raw picture quality can be clearly seen thanks to FALD of but the FALD of is not better than other flagships out there.
Its as suspected. The KS has dimming zones. Where as other flagship like panasonic DX has zones. Sorry in advanced if thats a stupid question but just curious on the differences.
Main difference is the design. The design is adopted from They posses similar design pattern. The colors are more accurate on and blacks are deep still won't rival OLED's black.
When viewed in daylight the difference can't be noticed. But in dark the difference can be clearly observed. Quick question, I recently bought the Sammy 60" KU From what I read it's not true 10bit but an 8bit set.
Thanks in advance. From what i gathered so far, its an 8 bit and use FRC dithering to support 10 bit. Thanks for the response Its good for gaming with low input lag.
But it doesn't really benefit from HDR due to lack of wide color gamut. So I have a sharp nu that said it was hdr enabled but I plug in the PS4 pro an it says that hdr isn't supported???
Any ideas for me why would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure what's the option for sharp. Its better to ask in forums. If it still not working try changing the cables.
These are certified to work with 4K HDR content. But i'm not sure about the panel is 8 bit or 10bit and supports Wide color gamut.
And if it is, would it be a good tv to game with. I am very new at this and don't know much. Its compatible with pro and got HDR update.
It does have bit panel and wide color gamut support. Also it lacks local dimming. The 55" model has local dimming and uses Edge-lit backlight and touches nits.
Still the input lag is very high. That's tough. KU has very low input lag and limited HDR performance. XD has slight edge.
That's a good TV. It does pass 4K HDR checks. Dolby vision on top of that. First of all, thank very much for the help. From what i gathered so far.
Also, the panel is IPS and blacks are not good. The LG TV is better. Hey man Im really hoping you can help me out here.
I got the samsung ks and a ps4 pro. I hooked everything up and turn on hdr on the port the ps4 pro is plugged into but all i get is a black screen.
Do you know whats up? Found these fix Reddit youtube. Whats interesting is if I connect via my vita and check my screen settings Someone told me it may be the cable so I might try getting a new one I suppose.
These are certified to work with 4K HDR. Im just worried the tv is broken but I dont think so considering I get normal 4k and can actually see the HDR mode via my vita.
Thanks for all the help and info, Much appreciated. Best guide on the internet and best help so far. Hey I forgot to mention that when I switch to UHD on on my ps4 pro the screen turns black and I dont get sound either If you know, I think this may be another sign that its the cable.
I added two different links in there. Here it is if you haven't seen the youtube fix. Hi and thank you for the video but this is not my issue.
I cannot activate the p -rgb on my ks - When I turn on UHD on the tv the screen turns black When I connect my vita I can clearly see that its recognized.
See image here. Just an update yall. It was the ps4 pro standard cable. I had to buy a new one. I'm not that much familiar with UK models and TV.
It might need some deep digging. Hi Admin, great thread, What is the lowest price tv that would work with ps pro, with good specs for gaming?
All i'm finding is conflicting info about the uk model. I guess not. It means it can play 10 bit encoded video. Hi, i'm wondering which of these two models would be best for gaming and as a tv altogether, any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am worried about input lag but I cannot find any test. Its new and no single reviews yet. From the owners threads there's no lag issues with that TV after multiple long gaming sessions of different games.
So it'll be fine. What we don't know sure about this TV is its either 8bit or 10 bit. Thank you very much for such a detailed review.
The reason I am asking is I don't understand how a lower priced model can be better than a higher priced.
I mostly play MP. And what makes a TV better for gaming than, say, watching a movie? If you plan on hooking up your PC to your TV, you'll want one or both of these technologies.
Here we'll run you through the best gaming TVs available today, from one of the latest Samsung QLED s to a bargain TCL TV — along with some arguments for upgrading from your current setup and what you should keep an eye out for.
The difference is that next-gen consoles can do both at the same time , though, making these specs even more crucial.
You might even be swayed by an 8K TV , given the consoles technically support 8K gaming — 8K games likely won't be available for a while yet, but you may wish to futureproof your TV setup now.
Both consoles use the HDMI 2. Now, the problem here is that most TVs are fitted with 2. Of course, you'll need to get a next-gen console first.
Check out our guides to where to buy the PS5 or where to buy the Xbox Series X if you want to stay up to date on any stock that appears.
Available sizes: 49, 55, 65, 75, inch Input lag: 8. Sure, there are more expensive new Samsung TVs out this year, but none make the case for gaming quite like the Samsung Q80T.
As much as we'd like to recommend higher-end models like the Q95T or moving into 8K territory the QTS, it's the Q80T that really nails that price-performance ratio.
It's the cheapest QLED with a full-array backlight, meaning you don't have to skimp with an edge-lit display like last year's Q60R. Despite the name, it's also the successor to last year's Q70R, which previously topped this guide — but beating the Q70R's 14ms input lag with an exceptionally low 8.
That means you'll get as little delay as possible between button mashing your PS5 controller and seeing the action onscreen.
That figure is reached by turning off Game Motion Plus which reduces screen judder , but even without it you'll get a respectable
